Foundry Films Ltd is a film production company based in Edinburgh whose films explore a breadth of themes from art and music to adventure and mental health. Combining an intimate understanding of the subject with our signature blend of digital and analogue techniques, we strive to create visually and emotionally impactful films which linger with the viewer long after the credits have rolled.

Since our foundation in 2022 we have been fortunate to work with a variety of exciting clients. We enjoy any opportunity to exercise our knowledge of shooting on analogue film alongside digital formats.

  • EXHIBITION OPEN CALL: 'CREATIVE BY NATURE'

    We are calling for artists to submit work which responds to the title ‘Creative By Nature’ for an exhibition at The Alchemy Experiment in Glasgow.

    You’re invited to a networking event at The Alchemy Experiment in Glasgow on Sunday the 30th of June for a morning of coffee, art, films and getting to know other creatives in Scotland. We hope to see you there!

  • WORKSHOPS AT CAMP VC

    North Wales

    We are attending women’s outdoor festival, Camp VC this year! Our film, White Horses will be screened across the weekend. We will also be hosting some workshops to provide an insight into the world of action filmmaking.

Promoting good mental health is an integral part of Foundry Films. The Film & TV industry currently faces a crisis in mental health, with 87% of the workforce having experienced a mental health issue, 55% having considered taking their own life, mental health in Film & TV is three times worse than the national average (Looking Glass Survey, 2022). We have partnered with The Joshua Nolan Foundation, an Edinburgh based charity which offers access to trained mental health professionals skilled in talk therapy. We are here for everyone who may identify as being at risk of or affected by suicide.
